Biodegradability
If a hold cannot be recovered and recycled, it is destined to biodegrade in controlled conditions, not during use nor storage.
Biodegradation requires specific conditions not present in a climbing gym, which guarantees product stability while in service.
This method of end-of-life limits off-circuit waste and closes the recycling loop.

Fungi is developed in Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, at the Laboratory for Production Engineering (LGP) of ENIT, on the UTTOP university campus.
This grounding provides state-of-the-art R&D facilities and field proximity with different climbing partners.

Engineering student at ENIT, materials and process expert. Longtime climber, has worked with MAGALA and participated in speed climbing competitions and setting. Winner of the French Tech Tremplin 2025 and the ENIT Alumni Prize 2024.

Engineer, teacher & entrepreneur. Initially mechanical and energy specialist, also has a career as a competitor with the French National Climbing Team. Go-to-market expert for sports equipment, brings network, development strategies and market access.

No. Biodegradable means an end of life in controlled conditions (suitable centers), not during use or in storage. Degradation takes place over a long period in line with the relevant standards.
